"Disaster Not Found"

I'm from the government, and I'm here to help you.

Yet another example one can show two friends of how much we can depend on our government to get it right.

Today, FEMA sent out a news release pointing to a "summary of key federal disaster aid programs that can be made available as needed and warranted under President Obama’s major disaster declaration issued for California." I thought I'd check out the details and went to the FEMA page.

On the FEMA Federal Aid Programs For State Of California Disaster Recovery page I saw a link to More Information on California Winter Storms, Flooding, and Debris and Mud Flows

I wanted more information, so I clicked on the link, only to find an error page. I found the error sadly funny.

Good Luck, California...FEMA lost your disaster.

UPDATE

Good News! Looks like FEMA has updated the page. Now, when one clicks on the More Information on California Winter Storms, Flooding, and Debris and Mud Flows link...one finds it directs to a page that shows more information, looks like they found the disaster.

The titles are News Releases and Resources. The two links are

* Jan 26, 2011: Federal Aid Programs For State Of California Disaster Recovery
* Jan 26, 2011: President Declares Major Disaster For California

Clicking on the first link takes one back to the Federal Aid Programs For State Of California Disaster Recovery page. Click on the "more" link on that page and you go back to the "more" page. So it's a circle.....nevermind.

How can one NOT make fun of them...they give us so much with which to work.
