Hello everyone, I am the apparently infamous Lorie Kramer. Tada! I must say I never thought I would have to write such a first post, but I guess that's just the way it is. I sort of feel like I just walked through a wormhole into 1999, but no matter. First off, may I say that anyone who wants to ask me anything is certainly welcome to send me an email. I find it very interesting that there is discussion of me, and my website in three threads on this board, yet no one has emailed me regarding this discussion. I found it while checking out where the visits to my pages were coming from. Imagine my surprise! I thought my trip to Austin was wonderful and productive. I met some really great people, learned a lot, and came away with a little bit of hope, which in these times is something pretty huge. My email address is posted clearly on most, if not all of the pages on my website, it's real easy. seektress@seektress.info Just do it. Let's take this one step at a time. Teller, nice to almost meet you, I am not "rense reporter lorie kramer". I am Lorie Kramer, a 54 year old single mother of three, grandmother of 4 who lives in Houston, TX and my “day job” is working for Whole Foods Market, a corporation with a conscience. I have known and worked with Jeff Rense for 12 years now as a free lance reporter, of sorts. I sometimes write stuff, he sometimes puts the stuff I write on his site. I shoot him headlines of interest; he sometimes puts them on his site, for all of you. I do NOT work for him, I am very proud to work WITH him. He has more courage as a reporter than any one I know. He serves you much better than any so-called Main Stream Media reporter does. He respects the intelligence of his readers and listeners to be able to decide for themselves about things, and he relays important information that the Main Stream Media would NEVER let you hear. Who are “they” to decide what information you are allowed to hear? And Teller, I would also like to know when the DVD of the conference will be available? Sidney, it was lovely to meet you. I thought we had a very pleasant and worthwhile conversation. I had hoped to record an interview with you, in fact I remember you said you’d like that, but time didn’t allow it. And you are right; I am friendly, because I am, indeed, a nice not so young lady. I believe I told you I was a reporter for Houston Independent Media Center, which of course was clearly represented by the Houston Independent Media Center t-shirt that I was wearing, and can be seen wearing in the picture of me and Cliff Mickelson on my site on my page about the conference. And I agree, it is not your job to explain me, who you barely met, to others who have never, and probably will never, meet me. I can take care of that myself. Again, my email address has been readily available for ANYONE to write to me with whatever questions they may have. And Google works real well too, if you want to know about me, or anyone else, for that matter. Personally I recommend Scroogle, they don’t track that you have been there, like Google does, and they don’t track what you are searching for, and they also don’t store that info later for….whatever purposes they want.Scroogle To keep the thought processes here clear, I will reply point by point. Sydney - (1) Lorie Kramer attended the Conference. Obviously Lorie Kramer spoke with people she met at the Conference. Seemed like a nice young lady, and quite friendly. She also obviously took some photos and placed them at her website. I did attend the conference. I did speak with other people at the conference. So did everyone else at the conference hehe. I did take some pictures, so did many other people there. I did put them on my website. It is what one does when one reports on an event of interest. I don't have a clue if anyone else put any of their pictures anywhere, but that would be their pictures to do with what they saw fit. And yes, I have been described as being quite friendly before…gosh…maybe that’s because I am quite friendly. I care about people. What a concept! Thanks for noticing. Sidney -I personally know of not one person who was aware Lorie appears to own and operate that particular website. Cliff Mickelson knows. I am not sure what you mean by "that particular website". I have my own personal website that is currently registered in the domain of seektress.com. I have maintained my personal website since 1996. It is mine, I pay the bill, I write all the code, do all the image and audio work, and I am the only person who puts anything on it. Just little 'ol me, at my desk, in my home, across from my 77 gallon fish tank. I actually talked about my website to several people there at the conference. Sidney - My understanding when I met and spoke with her was she was "simply" an interested reporter. Nothing was mentioned (that I know of) about her Chemtrails/Contrails Website. Well, let's see. Considering there was only one other reporter and “crew” there, that I was aware of, "simply" might be a bit underrated, that is if one wants publicity for the conference and the cause. I noticed
on the NMO site the Dallas reporter and "crew" were mentioned as the only ones there, even
though I am registered on the email list as being with HIMC. I guess I just
didn’t have a “crew”; however, I was wearing a t-shirt and was seen with a
microphone in my hand talking to people, Becky being one, and I thoroughly
enjoyed meeting her. I am usually my own “crew” on my projects, except maybe when
my son comes along…like here. I can also say with certainty, reporting on this issue is FAR from simple. As I said, I had my HIMC t-shirt on, I was clearly labeled. I work with the global, all volunteer, grass roots media group Independent Media Center, the Houston collective. HIMC also has a weekly radio program broadcast on KPFT, 90.1 FM, a Pacifica network station (Radio for Peace). I also posted a report of the conference on HIMC, and will most likely put it on the global site as well. It’s news (shrug). And under-reported news at that which is what I cover best. I have been doing this volunteer radio work for over 7 years. In 2005, I helped set up an emergency radio station for the evacuees of Katrina. You can verify that project here and here I received this from the City of Houston for my work. I came to Austin, on my nickel, with the intention of being able to record parts of the conference for radio broadcast. I was actually going to be able to have it reported in two shows, one of them a possible whole hour on the subject. I totally respected the wishes of NMO and did not record the conference even though I had all the equipment with me. On a personal level, I would have loved to have had access to it much sooner than it appears I am going to be able to. After this ruckus, I cancelled the hour long broadcast. The pictures I took were few and representative of the presentation, and the building in which it was held, and the size of the crowd. I find that pretty neutral. Sidney- (2) Lorie Kramer had no authorization from the NMO/CEHF Director or Board Members permitting Lorie to display the photos or written comments at her site. I certainly recognize that a "reporter" covering any newsworthy event is likely to publish or otherwise share that news coverage with the public. Gee, I'm glad you at least realize THAT, the NMO doesn't seem to, or so I hear, but not from any representative of NMO/CEHF. And why WOULDN’T you all WANT as much “coverage with the public” that you could get?!?!?! I am totally stumped here. I have been “reporting” various types of events for many years. I have NEVER once had to get authorization from anyone to share my photos. It’s called Freedom of the Press, which is related to Free Speech, which is related to supplying YOU with a Free Flow of information, that you deserve to have. As I stated earlier, I saw MANY cameras and phones taking pictures...did any of those people need “authorization” to take their pictures? I am also not sure what you mean by "written comments". I am totally entitled to write whatever comments I so desire, about whatever topic I choose, on my own website. If other people link to it, that is not my responsibility. How it is interpreted, whether accurately or not, is also not my responsibility. People bring their own biases into situations, as perfectly exemplified by the apparent need for this post. Most of the stuff related to the conference came DIRECTLY from my copy of the presentation binder and schedule that I was given when I registered and donated to the event. Although I would normally consider it inappropriate for a media person to contribute to a covered event, my personal beliefs and desires dictate such support, separate from my work as a journalist. I do not apologize for it, it is my soul talking. I listen to my soul, it’s usually a good call. Anyone who has a copy of the program can verify the above statement, look at the schedule page. I took a lot of time, and extreme care, to create worthwhile and relevant links from each of the speakers, and other pertinent links to better inform viewers of the page about this issue. It is called service to the reader. A free flow of information, something this country has lost, except in a few rare places, and I support those places. There are very few personal comments until the bottom, where I clearly state they are MY OWN thoughts, which again, I am entitled to publish on my own website. I added yet another disclaimer after receiving a third party email mentioning "Cindy's Concerns" and suggesting that I “modify your posts”. Again, why wouldn't Cindy, or anyone who might have been “concerned” from NMO/CEHF, just email me, or call me? I gave Cindy my card personally, I made SURE to do it before I left the dinner. It has my email and home phone number. We met, I didn’t have the opportunity to talk with her further, but I thought it was fine. Had I known that some sort of permission was desired, I would have most certainly tried to obtain it. I have not received any emails or telephone calls from anyone representing NMO that there was a problem with my pictures. I would certainly take them down if I did, but it seems to defeat the purpose of informing people who could not be there, about what the event was like. I saw no photos on the NMO site, I saw LOTS of other people taking pictures with cameras and phones. Sidney- (3) Personally feel sad those images and comments were published at a Chemtrails/Contrails website and then went to the Rense site. I personally feel very sad that such a reaction is taking place. I personally feel very sad that there seems to be such a division of sorts about this stuff when EVERYONE is suffering. I personally feel sad about the malignment and demeaning of anyone associated with aerosol research that I seem to be seeing from Morg/Lyme people. My website is not a Chemtrails/Contrails website, thank you very much. I do discuss that issue, but there is MUCH more and always will be. Here's a couple examples: Disguises are Falling and May I Borrow Your Denial? Dealing with the Joint Information Center, FEMA, the Red Cross, the governor of Texas and the City of Houston, et all during Katrina was less stressful than this (pardon the expression) weak BS. I have spent 10, very hard, very painful years researching the Chemtrail issue. VERY hard. This has included three death threats, other threats of physical violence, phone, computer, email and bank tampering, and being put on the FBI watch list for our HIMC teaching a “How to do Radio” session at the Indy Media National Convention at the University of Texas, Austin, with Amy Goodman of "Democracy Now!" as our keynote speaker. I got on the list at the same time with friends from “Food Not Bombs”, the ones that feed the homeless under the freeways. Go figure. This all goes on, but I still stand. Silence is consent. If I wasn’t striking a nerve, why are “they” messing with a grandmother that works for Whole Foods? I did not sneak into the conference. I stated, on many occasions to many people who ASKED me how and why I was there that, "I came into the Morgellons issue thorough the back door. I am a chemtrail researcher." That was all I said, I did not try to explain or promote any theories. I KNEW I was at a MORGELLONS conference. I don’t even like the word “chemtrails” I think it is a misnomer, but it’s the commonly recognized word that indicates the very worrisome and complex issue. I am a serious, intelligent researcher/reporter investigating illegal aerosol operations that are MAKING PEOPLE SICK. An example – Patently Obvious I have
said since 1998 that I will not spend another 30 seconds on this (illegal
aerosol operations) if I find out it is not real. I have been waiting 10 years
to quit. I agree, most wholeheartedly, it is very controversial, but that doesn't make it less worth investigating; ESPECIALLY if it is true. If there isn't something to my position, why do I get the hits I do? I know that just because I get a hit from Microsoft doesn't mean Bill Gates is behind the monitor, but come on! We ALL should be GRATEFUL that Jeff Rense linked to the page. Because of that over 4000 people from all around the world were made aware of the conference in about 48 hours, and the hits just keep on coming. Don't throw the baby out with that bathwater. Publicity is good, even though it may seem weird. It makes those in power KNOW that WE KNOW. We are ALL on the same side here. I will not get into the CT/MORG battle. I am so over that kind of stuff, it’s distracting, not healthy and brings bad karma. I can agree to disagree with anyone and still respect their right to hold their position and not resort to personal attack. If you want, you can read my canned rant here - (page update - my 8 yr old is now 13, and I have since earned an AAB, graduated last Spring, I have been doing this a while, thus the canned rant) Sidney - Seems to me something not quite right about all this.
You are so right, I don't do "scandal"sheets, I’ll leave that to FOX news, et all. I could care less about Britney. I work with fabulous, honest, determined and dedicated people that respect your intelligence enough to know you can decide for yourself if something is real or not, provided you are given all the information. Then, after CHECKING IT OUT FOR YOURSELF, YOU can decide if it is true or not. YOU ALL have that responsibility with EVERYTHING you read or hear, no matter the source, even if it’s me. Thank you for this opportunity to introduce myself and explain my position. As stated, if you have a question, let me know. I was very grateful to attend the conference. I have received quite a few emails thanking me for my work, imagine that. I will continue to work for accountability and help for all of us, because we NEED it. And THAT’s no conspiracy theory. Sincerely, Lorie
